It wouldn`t be a Slurpee promotion without something new tosavor. Battle Berry is September`s featured Slurpee flavor a sweet and tartcombination created by The Coca-Cola Company which blends the new yumberrysuper-fruit taste with currant and other berries.

August 30 2009 Yeah yeah yeah! “Guitar Hero” and “Rock Band” didn’t set out to transform the struggling music industry but they are doing exactly that by letting tech-savvy music fans simulate the experience of being rock stars onstage. Since their introduction in 2005 and 2007 respectively they have become a $3 billion success story at the same time that record stores are closing the album in physical form is dying and illegal downloading of music continues to surge. A cultural phenomenon “Rock Band” and “Guitar Hero” have enabled veteran groups such as Mötley Crüe and relative newcomers like DragonForce to expand their audience and boost their sales. Now after a reported 48 percent jump in music video game sales in the first half of this year the Sept. 9 release of “The Beatles: Rock Band” could see the group once known as the Fab Four inspire an unprecedented number of Fab Fauxs.

Music businessElias Cohn 27 received his first guitar as a present for his bar mitzvah. His father Shorewood resident Michael Cohn was the first person to teach him anything on guitar. “Music has always been a passion something that I always dedicated a lot of time and energy to” said Cohn who lives in Washington D. since graduating from Colorado College in 2005with bachelor’s degrees in history and political science. Cohn has already experienced a hefty dose of the music business and he considers music his career.

According to legend Paul created his first electrically amplified guitar when he was only a teenager by inserting a record player pick up into the back of an acoustic guitar. In either 1940 or 1941 Paul created what is generally considered to be the first solid body electric guitar. Music was never the same. Unlike the many custom guitars Paul would create for himself later in life his first electric guitar was nothing more than some pickups nailed to a wooden board. The composite was so unsightly that he nicknamed it “the log”. While other instruments before Paul’s guitar had generated sounds purely through electrical signals none of them caught on as quickly or as widely.
