It’s probably a miracle he’s lasted this long. I learned the moonwalk I air-guitar the Van Halen solo in “Beat It” every time it comes on the radio perfectly tapping the notes. At any given moment I might bust out in a crotch grab and a “HEE HEE. ” Michael Jackson is everywhere. He’s such a huge part of our lives. Music would not be the same without him.

US AIR GUITAR is the official air guitar association of the United States and is responsible for operating the US Air Guitar Championships official Regional events and specialized championships such as the nline Competition. They are devoted to taking our nation’s unofficial pastime out of the bedroom and putting it up on the world stage.

Among bluesmen scheduled to perform are John Horton III who will be joined on stage by Mississippi Slim. Horton was raised on Deerfield Road in Greenville and as a boy was taught by his father John Horton Jr to play the guitar. During his blues playing career Horton has driven a bulldozer by day and played the blues at night.

Frank Zappa’s music lives

”So I distanced myself from certain compositions that would seem obvious. ”We dig deeper and learn more complex things and that has given us more respect from the fans” he said. He spent a few more years gathering and rehearsing a band that could play Zappa’s music confidently and correctly while having fun always an important component of Zappa’s concerts. But for the current tour it will just be the core ZPZ septet. The band focuses on material from the younger Zappa’s favorite period of his father’s music — roughly 1970 to 1981 — with a few gems from the 1960s Mothers of Invention era.
