The growth in P2P file downloading was acute among 13- to 17-year-olds?up 46 percent. Bremseth plans to have Guitar Club members perform Christmas music during school lunch. A more formal performance is planned for February. The Internet has turned out to be a valuable source of free guitar music according to Bremseth and students often come up to him telling him of a new song they learned off the web. “It is exciting because it shows they are interested in learning more” he says. “I think this is a great opportunity for the students and is something different. I am a big advocate for music and anytime a student shows interest in music we should honor that by providing opportunities for them. ”The guitar club is part of the afterschool program at Cypress Palm Middle School.

Also supporting Gill (and Grant): his lovely daughter Jenny Gill who along with Kim Keyes sang to the skies as backup vocalists.

Rundgren always has been a rock-and-roll chameleon sliding effortlessly from Beatles-style pop to progressive rock to soft rock. "The music is designed to make people just want to pump their fists in the air and have a visceral response" Rundgren said from Monterey Calif. where he had just finished speaking to a conference on the future of the music industry.
