“The potential is there to create more music. ” The society is loosely organized- members pay no dues and aren’t required to play to a certain level. “It’s the joy of playing classical guitar music with likedminded people” said Gail DeWolfe of Camarillo a founding member. “It’s just a group that loves classical guitar and that’s the only requirement. ” DeWolfe said that after a visitor from Long Beach attended one of their meetings several years ago he and others were inspired to start a classical guitar society in their hometown. “That’s quite a compliment” she said. Gonzales said the group’s future is boundless and then pointed out that a classical guitarist from Scotland emailed the society after visiting their website to ask if he could perform at a meeting when he tours the United States later this year.

and it didn’t matter that they were in a coffeehouse: They came to rock to Stacy Clearman’s LittleLand and Clearman came to rock them. So at Holly Springs’ Java Divine one recent morning Clearman along with guitar and a recording of music he mixed in his home studio belted out the ABC song. Now I know my ABCs Next time won’t you JUMP with me. And then Clearman jumped. A few feet below two dozen toddlers and preschoolers jumped and bumped too making a mini mosh pit. Their moms sat back clapping smiling and singing along.

The music connections don’t end there. Activision announced Thursday that the Xbox 360 version of “Proving Ground” will include a five-song demo of “Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock” (see. The demo includes master-track recordings of Pearl Jam’s “Even Flow” Tenacious D’s “The Metal” and Priestess’ “Lay Down” as well as covers of Pet Benatar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot” and the Scorpions’ “Rock You Like a Hurricane. The “Guitar Hero III” demo will also be available for download on Xbox Live two weeks later.
